The Beginning Inside the famous marble palace owned by Kirti Mitra, known as Mohun Bagan Villa, came to life a football club that would steal the hearts of millions a few years later. The journey from its inception to winning its first tournament, marks the beginning of an iconic entity.

First Shot At Success What began as a standard football club in north Kolkata, now moved towards creating a space for itself on the Indian football scene. The 1900s saw Mohun Bagan bag their first Coochbehar Cup and Gladstone Cup titles and secure an invitation to play in the IFA Shield, where records would be shattered, a few years later.

Rewriting History After becoming the first Indian team to win the IFA Shield by defeating a British club, Mohun Bagan broke several other records and grew in popularity as one of India's premier football clubs.

Countrywide Success Not a club to settle for little, Mohun Bagan took the 20s by storm and established its glory across all the regions of Undivided India. The honour of being the first Indian club to have been invited to join the Durand Cup could have been endowed on no other club.

Dark Clouds Over Mariner Sky Riddled with the untimely demises of a few of the Club's legends, the 1930s brought in a murky phase for this Kolkata-based club. To top it off, iconic defender Goshta Pal's shocking early retirement in 1936 hit the Club hard and deep.

Diamond Jubilee This decade marks 50 years in the timeline of a great football club that put Indian football on the world map. Mohun Bagan and its players had slowly started embarking upon international tours.

The Celebration Continues An august decade for Mohun Bagan which saw the Club win its first Durand Cup, League Championship and Rovers' Cup. Buzzing with young national talent, various players from the Club had started making a mark for themselves on the national circuit.

Platinum Jubilee This decade saw the club officials invest a lot of funds and efforts as well, into the strengthening of the club's infrastructure and programs, while the team continued to bag more laurels for the Green and Maroon Pride.

A Roller Coaster Ride Dark days fell upon the club once again; the early half of the 70s saw a dry spell in the club's glory and fortune. However, the year 1976 marked a turnaround when ace mentor P.K. Banerjee marked his return and the Mariners hosted American soccer club New York Cosmos, which included legendary footballer Pele.

The Centennial Celebrations After a ghastly beginning to the decade, the City of Joy, alongwith the rest of the nation, blissfully celebrated 100 years of the Club's ecstatic journey; the city saw a statue being dedicated to the great Goshta Pal, placed right in the heart of Kolkata.

The Foreign Tide The 1990s were made illustrious by the performances of the new breed of international players such as Cheema Okerie, Chidi Edeh and others. Different stratregies and player formations were brought into play by the coaches then.

First Decade of the New Millenium With young guns such as Jose Ramirez Barreto, Baichung Bhutia and Sunil Chhetri leading the way for the Mariners in the new decade, the Club managed to come out of the dull phase and seize victories in tough times.
